Erik Iker is a Director in Stroz Friedberg’s Dallas, TX office. He is part of the firm’s Cyber Resilience and Incident Response practice, assisting clients in response to data breach, insider threat investigations, malware incidents, and proactive threat hunting.
Prior to joining Stroz Friedberg, Erik served as a team lead for Cisco Security’s external-facing Incident Response Services, leading engagements to assist customers.
Before joining Cisco, Erik worked in various roles with JPMorgan Chase, from insider threat analyst, incident response analyst, and finally as Vice President, Global Manager for the Digital Research and Intrusion Forensics Team, where he oversaw security strategy, system hardening, proactive threat hunting, and reactive incident response forensics for the bank.
Prior to Erik’s private-side computer security experience, he served for 13 years with the Fort Worth, Texas police department as a patrol officer, street crimes detective, and his last four years as a computer crimes detective in the digital forensics lab.
Erik earned his Bachelors of Science in Information Technology from Tarleton State University. Erik holds several technical certifications in the field of digital forensics and incident response and maintains the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Payment Card Industry Professional (PCIP) certifications.
