He is experienced providing board-advisory, governance, and strategic-leadership services related to risk, compliance, investigatory, technical, and security issues.
Mr. Pinson also researches, writes, and is a sought-after speaker on cyber security, security in the energy industry, emerging technologies, Blockchain, virtual currencies, encryption, e-commerce, and alternative payment options.
Prior to joining Stroz Friedberg, Chad was a partner at Baker Botts LLP with a national litigation practice and appearances in federal or state courts in 25 different states and multiple arbitration forums. His law practice focused on data security, privacy, data access, and data theft matters.
He received special acknowledgement in 2012, appearing in the Best Lawyers in America list. From 2004-2011, he was continuously recognized by Law & Politics as a “Texas Rising Star.”
Mr. Pinson is the Former Chairman of the State Bar of Texas Privacy & Data Security Committee.
