Byron Lloyd-Jones is a Director within the Digital Forensics practice in Stroz Friedberg’s London office. He provides and supports the co-ordination and supervision of a team of Digital Forensic Examiners along with day-to-day operations within Stroz Friedberg’s London forensic lab, whilst maintaining an active case load of digital forensics and eDisclosure engagements.

Mr. Lloyd-Jones provides extensive expertise in digital forensics including covert and overt forensic preservations, examination, analysis, and reporting on data from hundreds of digital devices, including but not limited to laptops, desktops, servers, electronic mail systems and mobile devices. He has previously assisted multiple clients for civil litigations, criminal matters, internal investigations and many other high profile cases as the lead or sole forensic examiner. He has worked on significant cases concerning forgery, intellectual property disputes, breach of contract, spoliation, fraud, and unauthorised access to computer systems both nationally and internationally, including the United States, Russia, Dubai, Antigua, Switzerland, Uzbekistan, Poland and various other European countries.

His analysis has resolved questions for many clients, such as document authenticity, accesses of inappropriate material, recovery of deleted files and destruction of electronic evidence, among other topics. Notably, Mr. Lloyd-Jones recently led a complicated investigation into a phishing scam infecting software at a Top 20 Law firm in the UK. In-depth testing to determine the severity and extent of the malicious software and what threat it posed to the rest of the law firm was successfully performed.

Recently, Mr. Lloyd-Jones was also involved in a global anti-corruption review for an international automotive corporation, overseeing the compliance of large data collections. In addition, he also recently led an investigation into the breach of trust and conflict of interest for one of the largest providers of private healthcare, spanning two countries and involving the identification and remediation of data from one of the big four international professional services companies.

He has prepared numerous expert witness reports and statements and has conducted operations while working with the Serious Fraud Office (SFO). He has also executed many Delivery Up orders and has contributed and led a number of Civil Search orders at multiple residential and business sites across the UK.

Mr. Lloyd-Jones is an EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE) and is a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP). He has vast experience with the use of an extensive number of industry standard forensic tools and associated forensic methodologies, as well as experience with a variety eDisclosure review platforms.
