Most legal cases and controversies turn on a small number of key documents, but it can be challenging to quickly find them in a world of data overload. During processing, it’s necessary to establish an audit trail to reconstruct the “who, what, when, and where.” Often, paper and electronic documents are placed into the same online repository and don’t require a separate review process. Companies need a trusted partner to guide them through a focused, and often accelerated, review of data.
At Stroz Friedberg, our eDiscovery solutions combine people, process, and technology to optimize costs and time-consuming procedures without compromising on quality. We help companies identify and understand the evidence they need, and analyze data to present their position or make their case —whether in connection with litigation or an investigation.
We employ cutting-edge tools to extract electronically stored information (ESI) from varied sources, reduce data volumes by eliminating duplicates, make unsearchable files searchable, and process all paper and electronic documents in the same online repository. Our tools include our proprietary Stroz Discovery® processing and First Glance early case assessment technologies, along with kCura’s Relativity® hosted database repository. First Glance works to quickly build visual snapshots of data for a more efficient review experience by isolating critical documents for action, culling insignificant data, and retrieving excluded documents for later review. This combination of tools provides features and functions that help focus and accelerate review.
In addition, our established and integrated global infrastructure includes four secure eDiscovery centers (our data centers are SSAE16 certified) located in Zurich, London, New York City and Hawthorne, NY, and allows seamless and secure project collaboration and cross-border data migration.
We also employ a proprietary analytics tool—Privilege Analytics—that deftly identifies potentially privileged documents, weighing findings based on context, and then categorizes its findings based on the reason for privilege. Privilege Analytics is compatible for review in Relativity.
When called upon to provide evidence, we stand by our findings, offering the assurance required by regulators and the courts. We are former prosecutors and experienced litigators who possess an intimate knowledge of what our clients need to present during a trial or proceeding.
Our capabilities include:
