Julian Parker

Managing Director

Julian Parker is a London-based Managing Director of Stroz Friedberg. He was formerly CEO of Data Genetics International Ltd (DGI), the U.K.’s premier independent forensic technology company, which he co-founded and which was acquired by the firm.

Responsible for managing Stroz Friedberg’s European presence, Mr. Parker develops professional and technical resources, directs the forensics labs, and oversees a significant caseload, continuing, as he did at DGI, to develop strategic links to businesses and organisations in the U.S., Europe, and around the world. He has been instrumental in introducing the concept of eDisclosure to many U.K. law firms as yet unfamiliar with the key issues at stake and the technology available to assist them. He has worked extensively not only with major U.K. law firms and other corporate entities, but also with investigation firms and regulatory agencies. He also manages a significant number of due diligence investigations which span the globe.

Prior to co-founding DGI, Mr. Parker enjoyed a decade-long career in corporate fraud investigation, where he worked on hundreds of cases involving, among other crimes, purchasing and procurement fraud, letter of credit fraud, high-tech piracy, intellectual property infringement, electronic funds transfer fraud, insurance fraud, and counterfeiting. His expert reports have been used in litigation and many of his findings have also been used to improve corporate controls, closing loopholes and system weaknesses that were identified during the investigations. He has also undertaken numerous due diligence projects, managed information systems used in piracy and fraud investigations, and supervised computer evidence collection. His investigation and due diligence work has taken him on assignments worldwide, including to France, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Greece, Turkey, the Canary Islands, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, and the U.S.

His investigations experience was preceded by military service as an officer in the British Army. Mr. Parker earned a B.A., with Honours, in Arabic from the University of London’s School of Oriental and African Studies. A seasoned poly-lingual speaker, he lectures internationally on computer forensics and digital evidence, and their importance to investigations and litigation.
